Agency founder Chris Gillard background in destination marketing and brand building.

Chris has long-term background and experience encompassing regional destination marketing, brand building, brand strategy and positioning, integrated communications strategy, creative direction and the development of new challenger brands and apps. He is also a qualified professional Photographer, Filmmaker and photographic artist.

Chris has developed past communications campaigns for Tourism Victoria (now Visit Victoria) for regions including The Grampians, Mornington Peninsula, High Country and Melbourne Wicked, for which Chris received a coveted MADC award.

Since 2016 Chris has focused on regional destination marketing, developing strategy and creative for a variety of Australian regions and visitor economy businesses. This includes experience working on film and photo content and social media strategy with Great Ocean Road Regional Tourism (GORRT) as well as developing destination marketing film, photo and social content for the Sapphire Coast, Limestone Coast, Daylesford and Macedon Ranges and many individual businesses in the sector across Australia. In this period to mid 2019, Chris also led the development of all aspects of new digital destination marketing brand FunSearch.com.au, a unique photo and video search engine for visitor economy, recreation and leisure sectors in Australia.

Prior to FunSearch (2008 to 2015) Chris Founded ProjectProject, a digital communications technology and brand development agency focused on positive impacts. As Creative Director and CEO his work revolved around the development of brands and innovative start-ups across a wide range of sectors including community, NFP, sports, government, fashion and health.

Before ProjectProject, Chris held senior digital creative positions in creative agency Mojo (Melbourne, 2006 to 2008) and The George Agency (Melbourne 2002 to 2006) developing digitally focused communications strategies and brands.
